Slow Foods Hawaii is sponsoring a benefit showing of Food, Inc. at the Honoka'a People's Theater on Thursday, Aug. 27. Doors open at 5 p.m., film at 5:30, Discussion session at 7, entertainment and networking at 8. I highly recommend this film.
For an alternative view on this issue, written by a farmer, I also recommend an essay called "The Omnivore's Delusion."
